Earn one point per earned character level, up to 500 total. Each of the five masteries accepts 100 points. Level loss does not revoke points from your highest earned level. Promotions inherit the base vocation’s caps.

Open Character Attributes, find Masteries inside the Skills window, use the plus buttons to preview, and press Lock In to commit. Soft Reset discards the current preview. Reset All resets committed allocations and requires a Reset Attribute Token; read its confirmation before proceeding.

Every point contributes

Benefit = invested points ÷ 100 × your vocation’s cap. A Knight gains 0.12% PvE damage per Strength point: 25 points give 3%, 50 give 6%, and 100 give 12%. PvP scales separately at 0.10% per point for every vocation. It does not reach its cap early. Integer health, mana, movement and regeneration ticks may round.

Druid ally healing excludes self-healing, monsters and leech. Dexterity still grants movement and spell cooldown benefits to mages even though their basic attack-speed bonus is zero.

  • Guild, mastery and custom weapon-speed multipliers combine up to 1.5× the weapon-adjusted base rate, with a 500 ms minimum attack interval.
  • Guild and mastery spell cooldown bonuses combine multiplicatively, up to 20% reduction and a 500 ms minimum in the shared cooldown path. Spell-specific restrictions still apply.
  • Mastery life and mana leech each have an independent 50% proc chance. Their listed percentages are the amount recovered on a successful proc.
  • Mastery and equipment leech share per-cast budgets of 2% maximum HP and 2% maximum MP. Area recovery is divided across targets. PvP also halves equipment leech.
  • Eligible leech uses actual damage, including damage absorbed by mana shield. Overkill, reflected damage, self-hits, summons, conditions and direct mana drain do not produce this recovery.
  • Bestiary collection recovery is a separate PvE-only system. It does not use the mastery/equipment leech budget.

Why the caps differ

The design gives Knights more mitigation and weapon speed, Sorcerers the largest PvE damage cap, and Druids an ally-healing bonus. Equal PvP damage caps keep that offensive mastery contribution consistent across vocations. Separate recovery and speed limits constrain stacking. These are design targets; encounter difficulty, gear and live PvP results still matter.

Returning characters are reconciled to their earned-level allowance. Excess unspent points are removed first. Invalid or over-budget allocations are reset and refunded to the level-based allowance without charging a reset token.
